“There Is Joy To Be Found Here”; a writing workshop for parents and caregivers of children with special needs

Writing is powerful medicine!
In this workshop we will explore the ways writing can help us be present with the heavy emotions and challenges that accompany us on the journey of raising children with special needs; how writing can offer clarity, resolutions, possibilities and hope.
I will offer my own honest experience as a writer and a mother as an example of the healing power of writing. You will have the opportunity to explore your own practices of emotional processing, look at writing as a possibility for this, share some of your story with adults who can understand your experiences, and make new connections.
This will be a safe and honest space to dive into the sometimes turbulent, sometimes calm waters of raising a child with special needs - along with the opportunity to find the joy that lives within.
Space is limited to 12 adults. Childcare is available on a first come first serve basis. Register on line to secure your spot. Donations graciously appreciated.
